Perfectionism, Self-Doubt, & Self-Criticism: Perfectionism often co-occurs with self-doubt and a pervasive sense that you’re “not enough,” you’re an “imposter,” or that your success is undeserved. These experiences can be particularly acute for those whose identities are marginalized or underrepresented in their fields. Through an affirming lens, we will explore these internalized messages, get curious about the voice of self-criticism, and work to facilitate a more compassionate, authentic relationship with yourself.
Identity Exploration: Exploring your identity—whether related to gender, sexuality, ability status, race, culture, spirituality, or beyond—can be both exhilarating and daunting. Discomfort in the form of shame, guilt, and harsh judgment often surfaces during these periods of assessment and change. This is a safe, affirming space for you to ask big questions, challenge internalized bias, and honor your unique journey, all while gently addressing the self-critical thoughts that may arise along the way.
